"For what is done or learned by one class of women becomes, by virtue of their common womanhood, the property of all women."
—Elizabeth Blackwell
(The first woman in the U.S. to become a physician)

When considering Sri Lanka, the major foreign exchange earned from migrant workers, garment export and tea export. The women are behind these both industries. But these women face a lot hardships, while carrying out their duties, and poorly paid. Due to the two decades of ethnic conflict, a lot of single mothers of Sri Lanka have to do double jobs in order to look after their families.Women are becoming stronger and taking up various new challenges in career. But the society is paying very little attention towards them. The women have to be recognised and respected as humanbeings, and not as slaves.
The society and the state have to be the "Voice for the voiceless!"

Until mothers teach their sons, the pain that they have gone through, from the day they were born up until today, all the harrasing they have received because of this male dominated society, and at last if they can mould their sons from a tender age that this is how you can live in the society once you become a good citizen in the country, these sons of today will do good for the entire society, the BEST they can offer during their life time. Teach them to put the COUNTRY FIRST and RESPECT every human, animal and all the plants. And finally love him for being a good citizen in SRI LANKA honouring MOTHER LANKA and their own MOTHERS for moulding them to become good citizens.
