It was the GOSL leadership that failed to solve this within the borders. Now it’s in the hands of the “international community”. So many nations are getting involved, but they too fail in safeguarding the lives and rights of non combatants. It’s unfair to blame the current President for outcome of these talks. The predecessor should take more responsibility, however this should be an eye opener for the new President of Sri Lanka.

Division is not the solution. We all should think as a one nation. As a third would country we all face the same problem, poverty unemployment social injustice and many other difficulties common to all, but not only to one community. If you go to any rural or even urban area, whether in north, south, east, west or middle you could see the same thing: real ground situation. One cannot over come those challenges by war. It brings only death disaster and destruction. No one achieved any thing by bullet and bomb during the last twenty years. It made commen life more hard and insecure. It may not bring any thing deference in future other than disaster.

Dialogue is the best way to find solutions. Problems could solve with tolerance and mutual understanding. Peace is the only way to bring an amicable solution to all our problems. We realise the present President is taking a genuine effort to bring lasting solution to this issue with the consent all other parties. There for LTTE should act wisely and honestly this time with out playing a double game.

It seems that the peace talks which held in Geneva is a result out of mutual fear and distrust rather than mutual amity and trust between GOSL and LTTE. If there should be a constructive outcome of the peace talks there should be mutual trust and amity between the parties concerned otherwise no fruitful outcome can be expected from the talks instead it`s just wasting time and money for nothing.

This is the correcect time we can expect something positive because H.E .Mahinda Rajapaksa is not selfish person like any useless president elected pass for our bad luck.

Its the UNP who admitted that they created the paramilitaries. And now Tamils are continuing to die from it. The GOSL failed to observe the CFA in a manner which innocent people and even parliamentarians non combatants and journalists were killed. This agreement is in the right direction. Hopefully it will work. Let peace prevail for all Sri Lankans.

The South has been getting the benefits of the ceasefire but people in the North are still confronting displacement HSZ etc. Why people in the South fail to acknowledge state terrorism and that innocent Tamils such as those youths from Trincomalee continue to suffer from it.

I feel the Sri Lankan Government is really serious about the peace talks this time. The way the talks were handled by the GOSL was very professional.
The decision to include IGP Chandra Fernando in the Talks , I feel was a very wise move. His presentation of evidence collected at the crime scene of the brutal assassination of former Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar pointing a finger at the LTTE was never disputed by the LTTE representatives , it is reported.
It is high time the International Community realize that LTTE is not a political party or a freedom movement but a terrorist organisation.

WE IN SRI LANKA BUDDHISTS , HINDUS AND TO A LARGER EXTENT ALL OTHER COMMUNITIES DO BELIEVE RE BIRTH,REINCARNETION.IN THIS CONTEXT, IN THIS PROCESS,IN THEIR NEXT BIRTHS SINHALEASE WILL BE BORN AS TAMILS IN JAFFNA AND TAMILS WILL BE BORN AS SINHALEASE IN OTHER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY ,IF THIS CONFLICT CONTINUES ONCE AGAIN IN THEIR NEXT BIRTHS TOO SOLDIERS AND LTTE TIGERS WILL CONTINUE TO FIGHT IN THEIR OWN NEXT BIRTHS ETHINIC GROUPS.

Both parties need to pay attention to certain preconditions for successful negotiation.
There must be a will to succed and a cerain hope that success will come.
We must be ready for ups and downs in the process. Never give up.Neither party must seek for themselves rights and privileges they deny to others.
Every person in Sri Lanka must bea assaured of equal and inalienable rights

The Srilankans are fed up with the politicians who are only interested about their power base.The expertise and the efficiency of those of the UNF GOVT IS NOT AVAILABLE TO THIS gOVT. Its better the President choose the best persons who could match Dr.Balasingam .The team is utterly not amatch and they could only read and produce what is written by others.

However there is no sign of any improvement. The govt. has further messed up to satisfy the hard liners and the election in mind.

God save Motherlanka and her children.
