Mr/Dr. Niro Dissanayake,

Thanks for the well written/articulated article. I enjoyed reading it as it really go in tandam with my own thinking about the ethenic /LTTE problem we have. It is definitely an eye openner, not only, for our tamil friends but also for some of our 'blind' Sinhalese friends. There are some who still strongly believe that 'Dutugamunu Strategy' should be the only solution.

To Niro Dissanayake,
What I see from your letter is -
A selfish racist who survives creating more problems to common sri lankan man. The sri lankan problem which you write about may be good for your thesis (who is going to accept it- let us know) but it reflects a slefish middle class thinking. Before challenging others if you are a genuine Sri Lankan, go and ask the present president what was his intention with his private Tsunami fund (You will never dare doing it, If you dare- you will know what the result is). I can challenge you in many things. I have better things to do than challenging you.

What I know is this. You belong to the community which does nothing to develop Sri Lanka, who does not help injured soldiers but take all the advantages due to the war either monetarily, or to write a thesis, or to target your tamil who is competing at work.

Thank you,

Suresh Silva

A great explanation Sir..! The way you have explressed the idea is amasing, but the way you thread JHU in to the seen is not so sweet.
You have stated that "even the JHU has not propagated violence towards ordinary Tamils", did JHU propagated violence to any Tamils?
Thank you verymuch.

"Crocodile tears"
Dear Mr Dissanayaka,

Thanks for your article.

On your article (last para) you questioned that whether tamils would survive? My friend pls do not worry, If Sinhaleese and Muslim would survive, we tamils would certainly survive.
Please do not advise the Tamil people (of SRi Lanka) to what to do politically. Tamils are reasonable people, when they choose a political path, ie backing up LTTE; then so be it. Only Tamils can decide their own destiny, no one else have the rights to even question their decision. Even future of tamils with LTTE is prosperous or disastrous (" plung in to abyss") is tamils problem, no one else. At least they have chosen or masters of their own destiny. Thats what tamils wants now.

Same things to Sinhalese, if they want to back up JVP or JHU or Mahinda, so be it. NO one on earh can question their political decision too.

What all of these interlectuals or political pundits from south so far failed to understand is that the soul-power of LTTE is given /driven by tamil people.

Mr Dissanayaka, you would not have a slightest idea of how much pain and suffering the tamils have been under. Only sufferer would know the pain. Over 60,000 tamils lives been lost over the past 30 odd years. Do you know the pain of departing or chased away from your own home where the whole generations were lived. You would only ever understand if you were ever to live under the occuping Tamils army or foreign force. Personally I do not wish to even to my enemy.

Have you ever listened to tamil's cry for 3 decades. Election after election they have clearly expressed their political desire , but what was the respond from south was brutal state terrorism.

LTTE is not magical alien powerd-entity from outside, they just the new face camp; body of new tamil generation. When I was a school kid in Jaffna, do u know how an ordinary sinhalease police would call us on a very normal day; " ado tamil pandi " that was our surname given by sinhalees rulers, on our own land.

What now sinhaleese army is doing in NE, tamils area? To whom they are protecting? This is nothing but arrogant occupation.

What you are worrying for is that not because the tamils have chosen a "different" political path, but they away from the cluches of racist sinhalees hergomony.

On your article you mentioned that " we have changed camp; give us a chance" . If you have changed, recogonised the tamil's in-built rights of self-determination, then we can co-exist peacefully.

On that day, we can share a bottle of toddy under a beautifull parm tree.

Dear Niro

The time for us to be silent is over (at least we think so). The immediate danger is for the Tamil community. the 'Tiger" they brought up is eating the whole Tamil community up.

I consider that ALL people born in Sri Lanka are citizens of Sri Lanka regardless of the race. What ever said and done, we have come from India at some time or other.

We should raise our voices on behalf of the Tamil Community who are in deep trouble
