Kalyana Parisu is director C.V.Sridhar's debut film starring Gemini Ganeshan, Saroja Devi and Vijayakumari.
The film has several melodious songs, among them:

The Song written by Pattukottai Kalyanasundaram (Apr 13, 1930 - Oct 8, 1959) is rendered by P. Susheela and music composed by A.M. Raja (July 1, 1929 - April 7, 1989).
This song captures the glowing presence of the traditions and also hope and belief that is thought to be brought by Deepavali. Poet Pattukottai Kalyanasundaram combines delighful Deepvali in the eyes, smiles, playful mischievousness and love of a little child.
Deepavali is especially popular with children as the tradition in Tamil Nadu and India is to celebrate it with colourful fireworks along with gifts and sweet delicacies.
The festival is called Diwali in North India.
In Sri Lanka it is mainly celebrated with new clothes, temple worship and gifts.
It is also a tradition to visit family and friends during the Diwali – Deepavali time.
